Pastor Freddy N. Davidson was born to the late Trustee Perry Davidson II and the late Mrs. Atharline Davidson. He is married to the lovely Peggy Thompson Davidson and to this union has four children: Andre, Missy, Jessica, and Brittany Sade’. He is a 1972 graduate of Gaffney High School. In 1988, he received a degree in Heating and Air Conditioning from Spartanburg Technical College. He retired from Hoechst Fibers/Johns Manville in Spartanburg South Carolina after forty-four years as a Supervisory Air-Conditioning Specialist. Pastor Davidson was licensed to preach the Gospel on September 17, 2000 and was ordained September 6, 2004 under the tutelage of his pastor, the late Dr. Eula Miller, Jr. Upon Dr. Miller’s retirement from the Ebenezer Baptist church, Pastor Davidson was elected Pastor and installed on October 8, 2006. Pastor’s Davidson primary focus is preaching the gospel to bring lost, tired, and broken souls to Christ. His desire is to reach as many people as he can by spreading the Gospel of Jesus. God is doing a mighty work in the body of Christ, and Pastor Davidson is excited to be a part of what God is doing through him to advance the Kingdom. He has been blessed beyond measure to have preached the Word. And though he admits the task can often be challenging, he finds encouragement in Galatians 6:9 where it tells us, “Let us not become weary in ell doing; for in due season we will reap a harvest if we faint not”. Also in Philippians 3:13-14, he is reminded “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high call of God in Christ Jesus”.
